Ignite Peace Pray EPA is organized by the East Palo Alto faith community.
In 2022, faith leaders in East Palo Alto organized the first Ignite Peace Pray EPA event as a prayer rally and unified call for peace and unity in response to growing tension and increased violence in the community. That year, more than 50 churches and faith-based organizations participated in designated prayer stations around the city, followed by a celebratory event at Bell Street Park with live entertainment, spoken word, free food, amusement rides, games, and giveaways.

Today, Ignite Peace Pray EPA continues as a free community event every summer that draws in thousands of residents of all ages from EPA and its surrounding communities.
