Frequently Asked Questions

What is this event?

“Ignite Peace Pray EPA” began in 2022 as a large annual community event led by faith community in East Palo Alto (EPA). Through prayer, the event seeks peace and unity for EPA and the surrounding areas. Additionally, the faith community hopes to use this event to share the Gospel with participants, allowing them to experience the love and peace from Jesus. The event includes live music and dance performances, Gospel messages, free lunch, carnival activities, inflatables, and more, suitable for residents of all ages.

What is the cost for my organization to get involved?

There is no monetary cost for your organization to get involved, as it is sponsored by the EPA Faith Community.

What is the ask of my organization?

We ask that your organization get involved by promoting the event in your community, mobilizing church members and ministry partners to invite non-believers, seekers and the unchurched to attend the event, and encouraging those who are able to sign up for volunteer shifts on the day of the event. For those who would like to become more involved, there are opportunities to become part of the planning committee for next year’s event.
